Develop a Unique Design Style

Copying Your Competitors’ Design Style Ain’t a Good Look. Despite what kind of business you run, one of the obvious goals is to differentiate yourself from competitors. How can you achieve this by (literally) copying and pasting a competitor’s design style?

You might think you can get away with it but people are not blind. It is time to gather all your team members or every part of you and choose a design style that defines you and your business very well.
It took me a while to develop a design style that defines me. What matters is you explore but don’t start by looking at your competitors. Research about design styles instead.

Here are some examples of design styles:

  • Abstract
  • Minimalist
  • Fun/Playful
  • Geometric
  • Grunge
  • Vintage
  • Masculine
  • Feminine
  • Natural/Organic
